Marvel Studios may be preparing to bring its next generation of heroes together in ‘VisionQuest’, and the show’s finale could be the perfect opportunity to do so. With several potential Young Avengers already introduced across the MCU, Marvel has plenty of pieces in place. Now, it needs a story that finally connects them.
‘VisionQuest’ Could Bring The Young Heroes Together

One possibility is that the chaos surrounding Ultron, Jocasta, and the show’s nanotechnology threat could draw Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s attention. If the crisis puts civilians in danger on a massive scale, Earth’s established heroes might not be enough to handle everything.

That could create an opening for a younger team to step up. Billy Maximoff’s absence could also become more meaningful if S.H.I.E.L.D. has been keeping tabs on his abilities. Kamala Khan, who has already shown an interest in bringing young heroes together, could eventually help recruit him.
Meanwhile, Tommy’s potential return would give the finale an emotional payoff by reuniting Vision with both his sons. Riri Williams and her AI Natalie could also prove crucial to stopping the nanobots, allowing Ironheart to demonstrate why she belongs among the MCU’s rising heroes.
Marvel Needs The Young Avengers Before ‘Secret Wars’

The timing makes sense, too. With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ approaching, Marvel could use ‘VisionQuest’ to establish the Young Avengers before the franchise’s next major crossover. Introducing the entire team in one project would risk making their formation feel rushed, especially when several members already have their own stories.

A potential roster could include Kamala Khan, Kate Bishop, Ironheart, Skaar, Eli Bradley’s Patriot, America Chavez, Cassie Lang, Billy Maximoff, and Tommy Maximoff. Each character brings a different connection to the Avengers’ legacy, while Billy and Tommy could add a personal dimension to the team’s formation.
Nothing confirms that this is Marvel’s actual plan, but ‘VisionQuest’ has the potential to do more than conclude Vision’s story. It could also lay the groundwork for the MCU’s next generation of Earth’s mightiest heroes.
