Watch: VFX Artist Recreates ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer With Wolverine In His Iconic Cowl

We all know the feeling. You’re hyped for a movie, you devour every trailer frame-by-frame, and then… something’s missing. For many fans of the upcomingDeadpool & Wolverine, that missing piece was Wolverine’s classic mask.

Sure, the trailers showcased Hugh Jackman‘s return as the adamantium-clawed mutant, but the iconic cowl was absent, replaced by a more rugged, unmasked look. A talented VFX artist has taken it upon themselves to rectify this situation, and the results are nothing short of awesome.

Taran Singh, a VFX artist who goes by the username spdrmnkyxxiii on social media, has released a fan-edited version of the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. In the trailer, Wolverine is sporting his signature mask. The edit seamlessly integrates the mask into existing scenes, giving fans a glimpse of what could have been.

Singh’s work is impressive. The mask looks natural, seamlessly integrated into the fight sequences and close-up shots. Suddenly, the Wolverine we see on screen feels complete. It’s the clawed superhero we know and love from the comics and previous X-Men films. Undoubtedly, the iconic yellow and blue mask adds a touch of classic superhero flair to the character’s design.

There’s no indication that the official movie will feature the mask. However, Singh’s edit does highlight the power of fan engagement. It shows how passionate audiences are about these characters and their iconic looks. Who knows? Maybe the outpouring of fan support for the masked Wolverine will influence future appearances of the character.

One thing’s for sure: Singh’s edit has sparked a conversation. Additionally, while fans were praising claiming’ “this is actually peak” others were not happy with the quality of the edit. “I thought the editing was very good, the only problem is that the lenses don’t move with the actor’s expression like Deadpool’s,” a commenter added.
