Ryan Reynolds, in a video, announced that a sequel to the 2016 ‘Deadpool’ will go on floors, and Hugh Jackman will make a comeback as ‘Wolverine’ in the upcoming sequel. But, there were strong rumors that Wanda Wilson aka Lady Deadpool will also make an appearance in the new sequel of ‘Deadpool’.
It was speculated that the ‘Game Of Thrones’ star Lena Headey will play the character. Even the comic book creator Rob Liefield supported the casting. However, those were just rumors. But, an actress desperately wanted to be a part of the franchise. So, let’s get to know who exactly Lady Deadpool is and which actress wants to portray the character.
Who Is Lady Deadpool?
Wanda Wilson aka Lady Deadpool came from an alternate universe and she was a part of Earth 3010. Rob Liefield co-created this character with Victor Gischler in 2009. Wanda was a part of the Deadpool Corps in another dimension with Deadpool, Kidpool, Headpool, Dogpool, and Major Deadpool. The group is fighting against a fascist regime in their universe. She was also part of X-Women, the counterpart of X-Men.
There was resistance in Washington D.C., and Lady Deadpool was a part of the resistance. She was at loggerheads with Steve Rogers aka General America. Wanda Wilson has made all 22 appearances in Marvel Comics. But, in 2010, Mary H.K. Choi and Ken Lashley started creating independent ‘Lady Deadpool’ editions.
However, during the final battle with the Evil Deadpool Corps. When the battle was ongoing, she hit the ship in the head of Galactipool, which killed her. The 616-Earth is left with the leadership of the Corps.

Which Actress Wants To Play The Part?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has infatuated many actors and actresses to be a part of it. So, it was not a surprise when ‘The Measure Of Revenge’ actress Bella Thorne expressed her interest to be a part of the MCU via ‘Deadpool‘. During an interview, she expressed that Deadpool is her favorite of all. Talking about superhero films, she said, “Yes, superheroes are definitely fun. I love action stuff, naturally, and I do a lot of action stuff with stunts and whatnot.”
She continued, “It’s just always really fun on set and it breaks up the work day when you get to concentrate on the body and feel and how to perform, not just using your voice. That’s always really fun for me.” Bella informed about her favorite character in the universe. “Deadpool is my favourite. It’s so raunchy and, hello, who doesn’t love Ryan Reynolds? He just f***ing nails that role to the floor.”
She excitedly concluded, “What I love about Deadpool is that realism mixed with the, you know, superhero world. It’s something where we feel we can talk to this superhero now in today’s day while still having them be a superhero. I love that sh*t.”
