Born in Queens, New York, Lee Price had a difficult childhood defined by trauma. He witnessed his mother’s accidental death at a young age and was constantly bullied. After years in foster care, Price joined the Army rangers in an attempt to escape his past. However, an injury ended his military career leaving him homeless.
He was then recruited by Black Cat’s criminal organization for a simple job. But when the exchange went wrong, the symbiote bonded to Price. Unlike past hosts, Price easily dominated the symbiote with his formidable willpower.
With his complex past filled with trauma, he sees the symbiote as a means for his own gains with no heroic intentions as he is a man with nothing to lose.
