‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘ finally revealed the bad-ass villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Kang. The movie also dropped a lot of hints for the upcoming Phase five of Marvel. Avengers have fought enough on Earth, now it’s time for Ant-Man and his team to explore the Quantum Realm.
Played by Jonathan Majors, Kang was stuck in the Quantum Realm roughly for about twenty to thirty years, almost enough time to build an empire. Janet Van Dyne first meets Kang in the flashback when both of them are stuck in the Quantum Realm, but only Hank’s wife was pulled out of it. A lot can be interpreted when Scot says, “We both just have to lose,” but little did Scott know that Kang cannot escape without his help. Here’s why.

Why Kang The Conqueror Needs Ant-Man To Escape Quantum Realm?
It might be a little funny to comprehend that Kang – the powerful supervillain cannot escape his prison – the quantum realm all alone. He desperately requires Scott Lang’s assistance to escape. Hence not power can solve everything, a little bit of science and brains are required. Kang entered the realm by mistake because his ship wreaked. Now Kang and Ant-Man are face to face indulging in a dual when Kang says, “You will get me what I need.” Kang clearly needs Scott Lang’s help to get out of his prison.
The importance of an object is stressed Kang, hence the procurement of it is extremely needed to complete his plan. It might be a powerful device or a weapon that is hidden in the Quantum realm. The object might be a part of Kang’s suit that might help him travel in time. Or perhaps, as stated by Hank Pym, it is extremely important to manipulate size in order to travel through time. Since Ant-Man possesses a suit that helps him in size manipulation, Kang might also require the same element to escape the prison.

How Did Kang Get Stuck In The Quantum Realm?
Apparently, Kang’s ship mistakenly crashed into the Quantum Real when Janet Van Dyne was still stuck there. She helped him fix an important element of his ship, and that’s when realized that Kang was exiled as a punishment. This led Kang to become a multiverse madman hell-bent on destroying the timelines to get revenge on who trapped him. So, apparently, it is the Council of Kang that decides to banish him. The reason why and how will be answered in Avengers: The Kang Universe in 2025.
But in ‘Loki’, it was pretty evident that Kang gets what he wants from Ant-Man and escapes the Quantum Realm. It is also said by Who He Remains- Kang’s variant that if he were to die, then the other variants would be unleashed on the multiverse. It might be Who He Remains who contained Kang in the Quantum Realm or maybe he escaped there to hide from the TVA. Since he is killed by Sylvia in Loki’s finale episode it is safe for Kang to return, but for bad.
