Jonathan Majors’ Driver Testifies In His Favor, Trashes Ex-Girlfriend’s Claims Of Assault

Marvel actor Jonathan Majors is in the second week of his ongoing domestic violence trial in New York. Known for his roles in ‘Creed III‘ and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, Majors was arrested on March 25 for the alleged abuse of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari.

As the trial in the case goes on, Majors’ driver Naveed Sarwar has testified in his favor, turning the tables for the prosecution in the case. As he testified on Monday, Sarwar said that Majors “was not doing anything” during the alleged attack.

However, he also asserted that Majors attempted to “throw [his ex] in the car” as he jumped out of the vehicle. There have been multiple instances during the trial where the witnesses’ accounts showed discrepancies. Sarwar’s testimony is, in fact, a deviation from the earlier statements that were attributed to him.

Reports said Sarwar spoke through an Urdu interpreter. The Judge had to remind him to “testify to what is happening, not what you think happened” multiple times during the trial. Majors also seemed to be happy about the testimony as he was spotted smiling with his attorneys in the court.

The trial is at a crossroads now as it has had several conflicting narratives, as the prosecution has claimed that Majors assaulted Jabbari after receiving a romantic text from another woman.

Majors has been charged with four misdemeanor counts of assault and harassment. If convicted, he is likely to face one year in jail. The trial also brought to light the problems in the couple’s relationship.

In the past, Jabbari has testified about Majors’ temper, controlling behavior, and previous threats of self-harm. As the controversy continues, Majors’ attendance at the 2024 Grammy Awards is also under question.

Majors has pleaded not guilty, even as other women who have dated Majors have also alleged physical and emotional abuse. A London police report from September 2022 that holds Majors responsible for similar crimes has also emerged.
