Tom Hanks‘ new movie ‘A Man Called Otto‘ is all set to be released on Christmas this year. Sony decided to kick off the movie from its first release date on the 14th of the same month. The movie is set to have an exclusive opening in New York and Los Angeles versus its wide opening on January 13, 2023.
Directed by Marc Forster, the movie has been adapted from a novel called ‘A Man Called Ove‘ by Fredrick Backman. The novel’s first movie adaptation was a Swedish film that was released in 2015. Forster has directed some of the most successful movies which include ‘Finding Neverland’, ‘Christopher Robin‘, ‘The Kite Runner‘ and more.

‘A Man Called Otto’: Cast And Plot
Tom Hanks is back with yet another to-be masterpiece with Marc Forster’s movie. The story follows a grumpy widower played by Hanks, who only finds contentment in criticizing and judging his neighbors. When a lively family moves in next door, his world is turned upside-down, as it is followed by an unexpected friendship.
The movie stars ‘The Umbrella Academy‘ actor Cameron Britton, ‘Hollidaysburg‘ actor Rachel Keller and ‘The Fault In Our Stars‘ actor Mike Birbiglia. In some photos that had been shared exclusively with People, Hanks’ character is seen standing beside the very pregnant Marisol (Mariana Trevino) who plays the role of Hanks’ neighbor. Hanks told the magazine, “‘A Man Called Otto’ is a movie about a community, everybody comes out and helps.“
