The highly anticipated prequel to ‘A Quiet Place’ franchise is set to hit the cinema theatres on June 28th, 2024. The recently released trailer by Paramount Pictures first gives us a montage of the previous parts of the movies and the parts of the Abbot family crisis while the day counter decreases. It cuts into a street in New York full of hustle and bustle quite contrary to the world devoid of sound we are familiar with. The main protagonist of the movie, a young woman seems to be enjoying her walk in the city with her pet cat when the sky comes falling. It’s the monsters who hunt everything wich makes sound but the people don’t know it yet. The movie covers the time period of when the monsters just came to earth and the society has to fight them as they figure them out from scratch.

A Quiet Pace: Day One’ is to star the ‘12 Years A Slave’ actress Lupita Nyong’o in the main lead role. The involvement of Alex Wolff and ‘Stranger Things‘ Joseph Quinn has been confirmed. Djimon Hounsou will reprise his role in the movie as the mysterious man from the island.

The movie has been helmed by director Michael Sarnoski. The audience might be dismal at the news but the idea behind ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ was John Krasinski’s inception. The movie will also be produced by Krasinski along with Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Bradley Fuller. So, the original spine-chilling moments are sure to come.

The movie is set in a period way behind the one we are used to so we most probably won’t be seeing familiar faces. Emily Blunt was asked during an interview if she would star in the upcoming movie, and her reply was, “This is Lupita’s movie. You’ll see why when you see it. It will all make sense. This is just new chapters of it and new ways of looking at what went down. I can’t say everything.” We might see cameos of her maybe a premonitory crossover but it is safe to say she and the Abbot family won’t be an integral part of the movie.

Since Hounsou has been confirmed to star in the new production via the trailer we might see the backstory of the man on the island. He seems to be in a role that is to guide the protagonist in this movie too, so we might as well find a connection of his with the origin of the sound-hunting monsters.
