After her husband’s death, Eliska and her daughter move to a rural village in hopes of getting a fresh start. Here, the duo takes up residence in a remote house in the village. But soon they hear the troubling tales of a mysterious woman who haunts the surrounding farm fields.

This is the Noonday Witch, who comes out in broad daylight to abduct children. Eliska dismisses the rumors as deranged folklore. But when her daughter starts to show abnormal and erratic behaviors, Eliska realizes her home isn’t safe. Not even in the bright, scorching sun, which is starting to feel stifling.

Inspired by the real-life events of the Jonestown Massacre of 1978, ‘The Sacrament’ follows Patrick, a journalist dedicated to covering bizarre news. When his sister calls him to visit her in an unknown country, he decides to take his colleagues to investigate the new community she has joined.

They arrive at Eden Parish, the residence of a community of seemingly happy people that worship their leader, Father. After interviewing Father and investigating the town, they realize that the people are trapped in Parish Eden and the Father has no intention of letting them go.

On a bright sunny day, Jim Halsey embarks on a journey to deliver a car from Chicago to San Diego. The road trip goes well until he reaches the West Texas desert, where he finds a man hitchhiking. Jim readily agrees to let the man, who calls himself John Ryder, join him in the ride.

Little did he know, John had a taste for murder. They pass along several cars with dead occupants that John proudly states were his doing. Fortunately, Jim manages to escape from his clutches, only to discover that the relentless serial killer is still pursuing him. His only hope is the police, who start to suspect Jim of all the crimes committed by his tormentor.

Of course, Jay passes it off as nothing. The warm autumn days should be all about school, boys, and weekends out at the lake. But her life turns into a living nightmare when she realizes he was telling the truth. No one believes her, but with death closing in, Jay must make difficult decisions to stay alive.

During a Nordic summer, four children become close friends over their holidays. Out of sight of the adults, they wander into the nearby forests or the playground to play. They start to discover that they might have hidden supernatural powers.

As they explore these powers, they reveal their dark and mysterious natures. Things take a turn when bizarre things start to happen to the kids in the middle of the day, with no adult supervision to keep them in order.

Jenny and her boyfriend Steve escape for a romantic weekend away to the idyllic and remote lake and woods. Their quiet, romantic vacation is shattered by a group of aggressive, obnoxious kids who take pleasure in provoking the couple.

They even stoop to stealing their belongings and vandalizing their car, leaving them completely stranded. Their mischief escalates to straight-up bloodshed when Steve’s plea for peace leaves him violently attacked. Now, they are stuck in a wild game of cat-and-mouse as they desperately try to flee Eden Lake in one piece.

On a lazy afternoon in the suburbs, Ann and George, along with their son Georgie, arrive at their holiday home. They are visited by a pair of polite and seemingly pleasant young men. Despite having deceptively sweet smiles, the pair turns out to be serial killers on an excursion through the neighborhood.

The awkward neighborly run-in turns bloody when they use their weapons to torture the family, forcing them to submit both physically and mentally to the torture. Amidst the horrible torture, they are only given till the next day to find a way to survive.

On their way to visit an old silver mine, the Carter family finds themselves stuck in the freezing deserts of Nevada. They find an isolated gas station, whose owner warns them to stay on the main road. But retired detective Big Bob Carter takes a shortcut and drives onto a nuclear testing site, where their car is wrecked.

While being stranded in the middle of nowhere seemed like their biggest problem, soon they realized that a deranged cannibalistic family had trapped them. Though some of the most terrifying scenes in Hills occur at night, when the sun comes up, the tension is doubled as they try their best to fight back.

Set against the backdrop of a hot Valentine’s Day in 1900, a school’s excursion to the famous Hanging Rock goes wrong; some don’t ever return. Four schoolgirls wandered up to the rocks to explore, but only one came back screaming in panic, with several cuts and bruises, and her dress torn.

Along with them, their teacher, Miss McCraw, is also nowhere to be found. The four women seem to have vanished into thin air with no trace. The school authorities are worried about their tarnished reputation, and students are keeping several secrets, making it even harder to determine what really happened in Hanging Rock’s deep, sharp crevices.

Based on Daphne du Maurier’s short story, this Alfred Hitchcock classic shows the perfect calm before the storm in sunny California. In hopes of pursuing a potential boyfriend, socialite Melanie Daniels drives an hour to get to the village of Bodega Bay.

What she didn’t expect to find was random deaths seemingly caused by common birds. In counts of hundreds and thousands, flocks of birds viciously attack anyone they find outside. With no explanation for why this might be happening, survival becomes the top priority.
