A musical biopic of musical superstar Bruce Springsteen is under production with Jeremy Allen White set to take the lead role in the film. Titled ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’, the movie is directed by Scott Cooper.
Reports of ‘The Bear‘ star taking on the lead role in the film emerged about a month ago, while it has now been officially confirmed. No other information about the casting details are known so far..
The film is based on the book of the same name, and as per a Variety report, Bruce Springsteen’s manager Jon Landau affirmed that it is the best book written about the musician and his work. “Bruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book — we think he’s the perfect filmmaker for the job,” the manager was quoted as saying.
“Scott, with producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson at The Gotham Group, and Scott Stuber are bringing together a superb team to ensure that this project has the vision and soul that have been the hallmark of Bruce’s 55-year career. We’re thrilled to have the wholehearted commitment and support of the entire team at 20th and Disney,” he added.

Release And Production Details Of ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’
Scott Cooper, meanwhile, is also a huge fan of Springsteen and takes pleasure in directing a film based on his life. Cooper asserted how much he loves ‘Nebraska‘, the album around which the film would revolve. He also said that Bruce Springsteen has had a profound impact on him and his work.
From Cooper’s vision, Bruce’s music tackles the themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans. Through his music, Springsteen has created an unparalleled music legacy painting an unflinching portrait of human condition.
The announcement confirming his role has got fans of both Jeremy White Allen and Springsteen quite excited. However, the release details of the film are not confirmed yet and fans would have to wait to get a concrete date. It is estimated that the film’s production is likely to start by the fall of 2024, and the movie will release sometime in 2025.
