Does Enola Holmes Marry In The Books?
So with the first movie out, it is understood that the detective is a young girl who just celebrated her 14th birthday. So for the 14-year-old, marriage is not an option in the near future. The fictional character runs away to London to investigate her mother’s disappearance. Enola is also eager to escape her brother Mycroft, who plans for her to finish school and be married off.
While in London, she decides to look into Lord Tewksbury’s disappearance and the young detective wants it to be her first big case. Here happens something different from the books, Enola runs into the Lord himself. Though the two characters had good on-screen chemistry, it is doubtful if they would get married. In the book series, Enola is not married and Lord Tewksbury does appear further in the sequels.

Will The Movie Series Follow The Books?
As more films are coming from the franchise and if they stick to the book then there will not be a love interest. The novels written by Nancy Springer focused on the mystery-solving abilities of the young detective and her relationship with her brothers, Mycroft and Sherlock. Her estrangement from her brothers is what made her want to be independent in life.
But as the trailers confirm the return of Louis Partridge, Viscount Tewksbury, fans hope to see a potential romance between the Lord and the detective. One can see the instances where the detective helps her friend out of marriage in the upcoming books. Through the trailer, it is pretty sure that the two do have a beneficial relationship. Thus there are chances that the movie deviates from the books.
