Despite there being dozens of movies on the famous moon landing by NASA, ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ is going to take a completely different take on things. This was made clear by the trailer for the movie which was released on April 8, 2024.
Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum in lead roles, The movie is a co-production between Columbia Pictures and Apple Original Films.

‘Fly Me To The Moon’ Plot Gives Wind To Moon Landing Conspiracy Theories
The trailer of ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ was released via AppleTV+. The movie will supposedly take a comedic take on the whole conspiracy theory revolving around the space organization faking the moon landing. The movie even takes shots at a popular component of the conspiracy. In the trailer, the actors are seen talking about hiring popular director Stanley Kubrick to help in the fakeout.
Despite the premise of the movie being a joke, a lot of conspiracy theorists were quick to take the plot seriously. All in all, the trailer has its audience excited about the movie’s release.

Cast And Release Details
Alongside the comedic tone, the movie also has a romantic-comedy angle to it. The lead actors of the movies are Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. The movie was previously titled ‘Project Artemis’ with Jason Bateman as director and Chris Evans as the lead. However, Evans dropped out due to scheduling issues and Tatum took his place. Greg Berlanti replaced Bateman after he left due to creative differences.
The ‘Fly Me to the Moon’ cast also features Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber, Donald Elise Watkins, Ray Romano, and Woody Harrelson.
The movie is set to release worldwide on July 12th, 2024. However, there has been no announcement regarding the movie’s release date on AppleTV itself.
