Woody Harrelson And Matthew McConaughey Might Be Related
Recently, Matthew McConaughey announced a series with Woody Harrelson titled ‘Brother From Another Mother.’ The 10-episode comedy series will follow the two as they play a fictionalized version of themselves who are trying to bring their family together.
In his appearance on Kelly Ripa’s ‘Let’s Talk Off Camera’ podcast, the ‘Interstellar‘ actor revealed that he might be related to Harrelson through their shared family roots. He said that his mother knew Harrelson’s father.
“You know, where I start and where he ends, and where he starts and I end, has always been like a murky line,” McConaughey said. “And that’s part of our bromance, right? My kids call him Uncle Woody.”
He started investigating after his mother told Harrelson in Greece that she knew his dad. McConaughey apparently “did some math and found out that [Harrelson’s] dad was on furlough at the same time that my mom and dad were in their second divorce.”

Why McConaughey Fears A DNA Test
Matthew McConaughey said that there are places and recipients in Texas where the two might have spent some time together. However, the Oscar winner has not yet decided about taking a DNA test over this.
He said that it’s easier for Woody Harrelson to take the test but it’s tough for him. “It’s a little harder for me because he’s asking me to take a chance to go, ‘Wait a minute, you’re trying to tell me my dad may not be my dad after 53 years of believing that?’ I got a little more skin in the game,” he said.
The Apple TV+ series has been created by David West Read while Harrelson and McConaughey also serve as its executive producers.
