Speaking to EW about the her upcoming film ‘Fly me to the moon’, Scarlett Johansson gave her fans an idea of what can be expected when the highly anticipated film finally gets a release. Talking about what prompted her to choose the role, she gave major points to the originality of the script.
“The totally original script by Rose Gilroy was what excited me most about this film. It is a big picture movie that feels both nostalgic and so modern and the kind of movie I’m always reaching for that you rarely get to see in theaters these days. Audiences are hungry for original films!” she said.
The actress then spoke about what it was like to work with Tatum, She asserted that the two became fast friends very quickly and even shared a dynamic comfortable enough for him to pull her pigtails. “My favorite memories of working with Channing are giggling with him before takes, especially when he tried to stick his fingers under my wig,” she added.

What Is ‘Fly Me To The Moon’ About?
‘Fly Me to the Moon’ follows the story of PR expert Kelly Jones played by Scarlett Johansson, as she is brought in to promote space flight to the American public where her main job is to chronicle the highs and lows of the 1960s space race. Along the journey, she befriends Cole Davis, played by Tatum, a NASA employee.
The two are assigned to stage a phoney moon landing in case the real one goes awry, as the film’s story progresses. Along with Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, other stars like Nick Dillenburg, Anna Garcia, Jim Rash, Noah Robbins, Colin Woodell, Christian Zuber, Donald Elise Watkins, Ray Romano, and Woody Harrelson also add value to the film.
‘Fly Me to the Moon‘ is expected to hit theatres on July 14th, and will be available to stream on Apple+.
