It’s very rare when an actor turns down a big project even if it’s as big as ‘Jurassic Park’. Glen Powell reveals that he rejected ‘Jurassic Park‘ because he felt that his presence in the movie didn’t create a difference.
The actor has done several projects like ‘Hit Man’ and ‘Anyone But You‘, and is currently doing a reboot film of ‘Twisters’. But the actor turned down a big role in ‘Jurassic Park 4’. It’s a fair decision maybe as Powell has also appeared in previous ‘Jurassic World‘ before in Netflix’s animated series, ‘Camp Cretaceous’.
“I Immediately Was Like, My Presence In This Movie Doesn’t Help It”: Glen Powell
Glen Powell during a recent interview with ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ revealed the real reason why he rejected ‘Jurassic Park’. The ‘Hit Man’ actor said, “Jurassic is one of my favorite movies, it’s one of the things I’ve wanted to do my whole life. I’m not doing that movie because I read the script and I immediately was like, my presence in this movie doesn’t help it.” It seems like the right decision as sometimes an actor doesn’t fit a certain role and it’s better to take on a role that suits you better and relate to more as a performer.
It was not the script that had the problem but Powell didn’t connect to it much. He said, “The script’s great, “The movie’s going to f**king kill. It’s not about that. It’s about choosing where you’re going to make an audience happy and where you’re going to make yourself happy.”
