Fans of automobile thrillers are in for a treat as Universal Pictures announced the tenth film of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise. The trailer for ‘Fast X’ has been released and fans are on their toes to revisit the adrenaline rush with fast cars, badass explosions, and stunts. Over ten films the family has become big and loving like at the beginning. However, trouble finds a way to sniff out the Toretto family.
In the last installment, Cipher, the cyberterrorist, turned Dom rogue by using his infant son as blackmail. The terrorist group had been after an electromagnetic pulse device that could put a city out of power, the nightshade, and God’s eye. All of these were quashed by Dom’s drivers’ team. This time not only Cipher will return but also introduce Jason Momoa to the franchise.

Who Does Jason Momoa Play In ‘Fast X’?
To understand how Jason Momoa fits in the ‘Fast’ franchise we will have to rewind to the 2011 installment ‘Fast Five’. Dom, Brian, and his wife Mia are fugitives at large. All three are on the run to escape extradition. Eventually, running becomes no more an option they plan to rob the richest man in Brazil, Hernan Reyes. The drug lord secures his money in a huge safe in a police station. At the climax of the film, Dom rams the humongous safe into Reyes’ car and throws him off the bridge. And the team walks away with $100 million.
Jason Momoa is Hernan Reyes’ son Dante Reyes in ‘Fast X’. Dante is furious with revenge for the killing of his father and for his inheritance wrongfully snatched. He comes after Dom and his family with very he has got. However, the reports claim that Dante and Dom will join forces against Cipher. Vin Diesel writes that with ‘Fast X’, “The End Of The Road Begins”.

‘Fast X’: Release Date, Cast, And More
‘Fast X’ is expected to release on the month of May this year. The primary cast of Vin Diesel as Dominic Teretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty, Chris Bridge as Tej, and Jordana Brewster as Dom’s sister Mia will be present. Sung Kang who plays Han will also return. He previously faked his death in ‘Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift’. John Cena was brought to the Fast franchise as Jakob Toretto in the last installment. Charlize Theron will continue playing Cipher in the upcoming film.
While the trailer was received well by the majority, many are venting their problems with the franchise. Many fans believe that Universal Pictures is unnecessarily stretching the plot of the franchise. The production was expected to end the Fast story with ‘Furious 7’ in honor of the late Paul Walker. Paul played Brain O’Connor the prime cast of the franchise. Unfortunately, the actor died in a car crash. However, Univeral Pictures promised that there will be three more movies after ‘Furious 7‘. Many roasted Vin Diesel’s tweet that said ‘Fast X’ is just the beginning of the end of the franchise.
Universal Pictures claims it will have two more installments of the ‘Fast’ franchise after the upcoming film in May. Seems the road is longer than we thought.
