After an incredible ‘John Wick 4′, Lionsgate has announced ‘John Wick 5′ already and fans cannot keep calm. After the fourth film, the ending made everyone believe that the franchise may have ended. Now John Wick fans are happy that their favorite hero will return to screens soon.
Along with the movie announcement, Lionsgate has also announced that there might be a game, series and spin-off movie. Safe to say, fans are losing their minds over the announcement. So let’s take a look at the details further.

Lionsgate Announces ‘John Wick 5’
In the Q4 2023 earnings call, Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake announced that ‘John Wick 5′ is already in development. He further added, “We are now moving across the franchise, not just in the AAA video game space, but looking at regular cadence spin-offs, television really growing that universe so that there is already a steady cadence of a franchise that there’s clear appetite by the audience.”
Not only the fifth installment, but Joe Drake also announced the first spin-off series starring Ana de Armas.

What Else Can Fans Expect?
The John Wick universe will increase to include an AAA video game as well. A video game further adds to the excitement and enthusiasm of the fans. Not only a video game, but Lionsgate also announced several spin-offs and series as well.
First is ‘Ballerina‘ which is set to be released in 2024. The spin-off follows ballerina-assassin Rooney as she looks for her family’s killers. Along with that, there is ‘The Continental’ miniseries as well. The mini-series is the origin story of Winston Scott as the proprietor of the safe haven for the assassins. Viewers can expect to see the mini-series on Peacock.
While talking about the franchise, Joe Drake continued to say, “And so, we’re building out the world and when that fifth movie comes, it will be organic — will be organically grown out of how we’re starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick.” Fans are excited about new additions after the announcement. It is yet to be seen whether Keanu Reeves reprises his role in the fifth movie since at the end of the fourth movie he was presumed dead.
