    ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ Producer Confirms Franchise Is Getting A ‘Reboot’ With Sixth Movie

    Pirates of the Caribbean’ is a popular film franchise produced by Disney. It consists of five movies released between 2003 and 2017. The series follows the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow, portrayed by Johnny Depp. All the while he navigates the high seas filled with supernatural beings, cursed treasure, and rival pirates. 

    The franchise has been highly successful, grossing billions of dollars worldwide. Alongside this, it earned critical acclaim for action, humor, and memorable characters winning over everyone. Now there’s a sixth movie update.

    “We’re Gonna Reboot Pirates”: Producer Jerry Bruckheimer

    Jerry Bruckheimer is a very well-established producer with several hit movies under his belt. However, Johnny Depp’s legal troubles and several controversies had led to the movie’s reboot being plagued by delays. While speaking with Comicbook.com Jerry spoke about the reboot for ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean‘ franchises. 

    Despite being unsure at first he claimed that the movies would be back with a new cast. He said, “It’s hard to tell. You don’t know, You don’t know how they come together. You just don’t know. Because with Top Gun you have an actor who is iconic and brilliant. And how many movies he does before he does Top Gun, I can’t tell you. But we’re gonna reboot Pirates, so that is easier to put together because you don’t have to wait for certain actors.

    The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ film franchise ever since its release has its audience in a chokehold. The franchise had over a decade-long run and released five movies from 2003-2017. The movie franchise started with ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)’ which introduced the world to Jack Sparrow. Additionally, It follows the adventures of Jack as he embarks on a quest to reclaim his beloved ship, the Black Pearl, and more.

    The second movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006)’ revolves around Jack’s blood debt to legendary Davy Jones. In addition to the third movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007)’ wherein Jack Sparrow is trapped in Davy Jones’ Locker, while his friends, along with pirate lords, unite to fight against East India.

    The last two movies ‘On Stranger Tides (2011)’ and ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017)’ revolve around Jack’s encounter with his former love interest ‘Angelica’ and his face-off against the ghost pirate hunter ‘Captain Salazar’.
