Selenators, get ready for an exciting update. There’s a new project in production and it stars none other than Selena Gomez. The Rare Beauty founder is teasing many of her upcoming projects and while SG3 teasers have disappointed fans many times, this new one holds strong potential.
Disney’s favorite witch will be playing 70s popstar sounds. The interesting project is for the fans of the Rock ‘N’ Roll legend Linda Ronstadt.
Selena Gomez Teases New Project
The ‘Only Murders In the Building’ star who was recently at the Golden Globes causing internet quakes is known for teasing her fans and leaving them wanting. The singer posted on her Instagram story a snap of legendary country, rock ‘n’ roll and Latin music artist Linda Ronstadt’s 2013 memoir ‘Simple Dreams’.
Variety reports that Gomez would be playing Linda in the upcoming biopic. We can believe that as the two singers, apart from being pop stars, share a lot of similarities, take their Mexican lineage for one.
No further information about the cast has been revealed. The music biopic is under pre-production at the moment. The producers are James Keach and Linda’s manager John Boylan.

Who Is Linda Ronstadt?
Linda Ronstadt is an iconic American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born in Tucson, Arizona in 1946, she rose to fame in the 1970s with her versatility in the world of music.
Her chart-topping hits, include ‘You’re No Good’ and ‘Blue Bayou’ securing her place as one of the best-selling female artists of that time. Ronstadt’s discography includes 24 studio albums and 15 greatest hits collections. She charted 38 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100. Twenty-one of those singles entered the top 40, with ten reaching the top ten.
