‘Switzerland’: Plot Details
Helen Mirren will play the authoress Patricia Highsmith. The American writer was famous for her psychological thrillers like ‘Strangers On A Train’ and ‘Tom Ripley’ series. Many filmmakers, notably Alfred Hitchcock, made movies based on her novels. ‘Deep Water‘ with Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas was also based on Highsmith’s novel.
‘Switzerland‘ follows Highsmith’s relishing in solitude. However, a young literary agent named Edward rudely interrupts her rest. Sent on a mission by Highsmith’s publishers, he tried to persuade the writer to write one final chapter in the Tom Ripley series.
Despite her efforts to drive him away, she collaborates with the agent. Before they know it, the lines between fact and fiction blur, and reality becomes a complex construct.
