‘La La La Land‘ starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone is a kind experience movie and was even nominated for the Oscars in the Best Picture category. The picture was perfect in all senses and even changed the perspective of ‘sacrifice in love’ for many.
But Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) thinks the other way. During an interview, he talked about how he made a ‘weird’ hand gesture during a scene that later turned into the poster for the movie and he still isn’t over that particular moment.
Ryan Gosling On His “La La Hand” Blunder During ‘La La Land’ Scene
In his recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ryan Gosling revealed that there is still one scene from the 2016 classical romance that still haunts him. He candidly admits the ‘wrong’ scene and he wishes to do it again. Surprisingly that scene turned out to be the main poster for the movie, where Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) and Mia (Emma Stone) are dancing.
He made the mistake in his version from ‘La La Land’ to ‘La La Hand‘. Gosling explained, “There’s a moment that haunts me where we’re dancing, Emma [Stone] and I. I didn’t know this would become the poster for the movie”.
His hands were supposed to do a gesture of pointing up in the air but he rather flattened his hand in a weird position and “it wasn’t cool.” He continued, “I thought we were supposed to have our hands up. I thought it would be cool to put my hand like that”. Everybody from the production found the scene fine and Gosling too agreed on it but now he thinks he shouldn’t have and it looks bad.
Ryan likes to call it “La La Hand.” Furthermore, he was questioned that did the background of the movie inspired him to play the role of Sebastian, to which he replied, “I thought it would help in La La Land and then, of course, hamburger-hands Gosling over here. It didn’t help me at all in the end.”
