In the freshly released trailer of ‘Miller’s Girl‘, Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman can be seen navigating a steaming student-teacher relationship on screen. A hesitant Freeman seems to be trapped by Ortega in a rather seductive stance in the Lionsgate film trailer.
Directed and written by Jade Halley Bartlett, the movie is set to release on January 26. Its first premiere will be held at the Palm Springs International Film Festival earlier that month. While Jenna Ortega is playing the role of Cairo, who is a promising writer and seemingly a student of Freeman’s.

In the trailer, Freeman asks Ortega, “Why did you write this? This is inappropriate.” Ortega responds unflinchingly, “‘Write what you know,’ is what you said.”
The trailer puts forth a narrative that there could be something inappropriate for a teacher-student relationship that happens sometime across the storyline.
In another one of the scenes, Freeman seems skeptical and scared of what possible repercussions await his character’s story. “If she can convince them that something happened between us, I would lose my job,” he says.
The movie is directed by Jade Halley Bartlett, who is popular for her script that landed her on the Black List in 2016. Several other renowned actors including Dagmara Domińczyk, Bashir Salahuddin, and Gideon Adlon are also featured in the movie.
The production of the film is also quite heavyweight with Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Josh Fagen, and Mary-Margaret Kunze.

Both Ortega and Freeman Have Plates Full For The Coming Year
Jenna Ortega is looking at a busy year as her recent work in the crime thriller ‘Finestkind‘ also awaits premiere on Paramount+. Besides, many of her fans also have their eyes on the highly anticipated ‘Beetlejuice 2‘ for Warner Bros.
Though she recently exited ‘Scream VII’ last month, the actress has a full plate with the second season of her successful Netflix series, ‘Wednesday‘, also slated to begin production soon.
Martin Freeman, meanwhile, was last seen in Disney+’s Marvel series ‘Secret Invasion’. Renowned for his roles in the British version of ‘The Office‘, ‘Sherlock‘, and the ‘Hobbit‘ films, the actor also graced the silver screen on the Peacock show ‘Angelyne‘ recently.
The chemistry between the two seamless actors in the trailer of ‘Miller’s Girl‘ has left both their fans excited, putting yet another one of their works on the to-watch lists across the globe.
