Coachella, North America’s largest music festival, is highly anticipated every year. The festival gets all its tickets sold well before it is expected every year, and the case is no different this year as well. The 23rd installment of the iconic festival will be based in California this year.
Coachella will be held for two weekends in April this year and has already sold all of its 125,000 per-day tickets. As the anticipation has been growing among music enthusiasts, the wait is finally over. Coachella has officially unveiled the heavy lineup for its 2024 edition.

All You Need To Know About Coachella 2024
The star-studded cast of headliners for this year’s Coachella include Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, and No Doubt as the artists taking center stage. The festival will be held at Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, on the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21.
Promoters Goldenvoice made the official announcement of the lineup on Tuesday, unveiling a diverse array of artists. Other than the main performers, the lineup also includes Peso Pluma, Blur, J Balvin, Ice Spice, Sublime, Lil Uzi Vert, Grimes, Victoria Monet, Jon Batiste, Bleachers, Justice, Deftones, Lil Yachty, Bizarrap, Khruangbin among others.
Those who purchased tickets for the 2023/2022 festival will also get early access to passes on January 18 at 2 p.m. PT. The general presale will open a day later on January 19 at 11 a.m. PT. YouTube will once again be the exclusive live stream partner for both Coachella weekends. The event will be broadcast on the official Coachella YouTube channel.

Why Are Dua Lipa And Shakira Not In The Lineup Despite Speculation?
The festival’s lineup poster has also introduced a fourth headlining slot for the third consecutive year. The slot is located at the bottom of the poster and grants headliner billing without specifying a date. Though it is unclear why exactly it holds significance, it has been used as a late-night dance slot or a contingency headliner in case of cancellations.
Reports suggest that Dua Lipa and Shakira, both with upcoming albums in 2024, were considered for headlining slots for this year’s Coachella. However, Lipa’s timing did not align and organizers passed on Shakira.
The festival’s history also includes last-minute headliner changes leaving a scope for changes this year as well. Frank Ocean’s replacement by Blink-182 in 2023 was one such example that had taken a few fans aback.
Rage Against the Machine which was originally scheduled for Coachella 2020, faced multiple postponements due to the the pandemic. Despite a 2022 reunion tour, the group announced it will not be touring or playing live again.
