Singing sensation Madonna recently opened up about her near-death experience and how it ironically worked out in her favor after she managed to survive it. The star recently recalled the initial moments when she gained consciousness after a four-day-long coma.
The Queen Of Pop was found to be unresponsive in June this year at her New York City home after “strenuously rehearsing” and “putting in 12-hour days” ahead of her next tour. She was transferred to an ICU and was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. However, after she gained consciousness, she was delighted to see what was in front of her.

“It’s A F**king Miracle That I Am Here”: Madonna
Speaking during her concert at the Barclays Center, Madonna joked that she had to “almost die” to bring her six children together. “I passed out on my bathroom floor, and I woke up in the ICU,” Madonna said.
Madonna expressed her disbelief at surviving the health scare. “The fact that I’m here right now is the f—king miracle,” she said.
“When I first became conscious, I saw my six incredible children sitting in the lobby…I had to almost die to get all my kids in one room — I know it’s kind of funny,” she added. “But they were all pretty scared and I didn’t understand what was going on.”
The star is a mother to 26-year-old Lourdes Leon, 23-year-old Rocco Ritchie, 18-year-old David Banda, 17-year-old Chifundo “Mercy” James, and twins 11-year-old Stella and Estere.

Madonna also recalled the woman named Siobhan who “saved her life”. “There is one very important woman who dragged me to the hospital … I passed out on my bathroom floor and I woke up in the ICU,” she said.
She also thanked her Kabbalah teacher, Eitan Yardeni, whose voice was all that she could hear during those 48 hours of coma.
Though the health scare brought her children together, it triggered thoughts about her mother, who passed away from breast cancer when Madonna was young. She imagines what it would have been like to leave her children at a crucial moment in their lives.
“I was thinking, ‘What if I left my children?’ That would destroy me to leave my children at this moment in their lives. I wasn’t thinking about me. I was thinking about them, and I was thinking about my mother and how scared she must have been to know that she was going to leave us all behind,” Madonna said.
The singer acknowledged that “crazy f—king things happen to us” to make us understand others’ struggles. “I don’t take any of this s—t for granted,” she said.
