Without naming her boyfriend Benny Blanco, Gomez said that self-respect and holding space for the feelings of others are the two qualities she looks for in a potential romantic partner. “Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people because it’s a bit of both,” Gomez said.
Though the actress is seemingly satisfied with her relationship with Blanco, she said she is well aware of how rare it is to find someone who truly listens and cares. “It’s very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy,” Gomez said.

While the duo publicly confirmed their relationship just this month, reports suggest that Gomez and Blanco’s history goes back to 2019 when they collaborated on the hit single “I Can’t Get Enough“. Blanco has produced the track for the song and had also lent his vocals to the English-Spanish song alongside Gomez, Tainy, and J Balvin.
Selena Gomez declared her love for Blanco in a rather dramatic way. She took the digital world by storm when she commented, “He is my absolute everything in my heart” on an Instagram post of the picture of the two shared from a fan account. Hours later, she shared a photo of her and Blanco on her Instagram story too.
As the holiday season approaches, the couple is spending more time together as is visible from their social media posts. In a recent Instagram post, Selena wrote, “New York, my favorite moments w you this week” as she shared pictures of herself spending quality time with friends, including a heartwarming embrace from Blanco.
