The Real Reason Why Fans Are Now Taking Hailey Bieber’s Side After Her Feud With Selena Gomez

The Selena GomezHailey Bieber feud had us all taking sides and choosing one of them. Something that started with eyelashes, and a relationship that happened years ago, the feud, fuelled by fans, got bigger and bigger until Hailey and Selena couldn’t stop it themselves.

In the beginning, the majority of people took Selena’s side, defending the singer against the hate train launched by fans of the Biebers. But now the tables take a turn as everyone is changing sides and choosing Hailey Bieber as her icon. Here’s what went down.

In case you don’t know about the feud between Hailey and Selena, the skin care mogul and the actress/ singer found themselves knee-deep in a ‘feud’ that was started by fans. Playing it cool, they both stood up and encouraged fans to stop the hate- which they didn’t, and Hailey got the rougher part of the hate train. She was labeled a repo kid, talentless and her fame and success were attached to Bieber’s big name. All of those things are, in the literal sense, the truth; but the bullying she got was absolutely lethal.

    Things however have changed.

Months after the drama, Hailey, thanks to her fabulous PR team started growing an ‘IT girl’ image. She endorsed popular brands, launched new flavors of her lip balm, collaborated with influencers, and was super nice to everyone. What started as ‘damage control’ led to her rise to even more fame. And this time, thankfully, no Justin was involved.

She started setting trends. Not trends exactly, just makeup routines and skincare routines that existed for a long time but gained traction after she started doing it. Hailey Bieber strawberry makeup, Hailey Bieber street style, Hailey Bieber cinnamon cookie hair, the list just keeps going on.

To top it off, she didn’t deny or wipe off the hate. She embraced it like the queen she is. She took all that hate and bashed her haters in return. All of that made her 100 times more likable than she already was. She set the stage, and she was showing everyone who’s the boss.

Selena Gomez, however, went the other way around.

A few months back, Selena Gomez was the IT girl of the industry. She had a mega-successful beauty brand, a following of millions, a successful acting and singing career and everyone looked up to her.

Lately though, ever since she has been getting more and more active on social media sites like Instagram and Tiktok, Gomez has been commenting under videos and posts related to her, and in some cases, related to Hailey and even Justin, and fans started calling her out for playing the victim card.

Further on, she spoke about Palestine’s genocide, expressing her empathy and saying how much it hurts HER, which again, people took as victimization, calling her out for apparently making the genocide about her. Her brand was boycotted, her following decreased and fans were quick to change sides and label Selena as a ‘play victim’.

As for now, she has remained quiet on any issue. She has also become inactive and has also signed a letter to President Biden urging a ceasefire.
