Jesse Rutherford from The Neighbourhood and Billie Eilish had a brief but widely-known relationship. After less than a year of dating, representatives for the “Bad Guy” singer told Page Six in May 2023 that they had broken up. Now, months after dating, Rutherford seems to have released a new track that looks like it’s about Billie Eilish, and fans are calling it ‘disturbing’.
Surely, songs about ex-lovers are completely normal and okay. What’s not okay is the way he wrote about Eilish in the song. It seems predatory and highly unethical. Here’s how fans reacted and what Rutherford wrote.
Billie Eilish And Jesse Rutherford’s Relationship
The couple began dating when Billie was seen kissing Jesse in October 2022. After the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter shared a picture of the two dressing up for Halloween, the pair became official on Instagram. Fans criticised Billie and Jesse’s over ten-year age difference on Twitter after it was revealed that they were dating each other. Their relationship went through fans attacking Jesse for ‘grooming’ Billie and saying that their age gap was just weird.
And then, to make things worse, they both cosplayed as a baby and an old man. Which led to everyone on social media calling them out for the ‘weird’ behaviour.
After the breakup, Billie also came forward to tell fans that she and Rutherford were on very good terms.
Now, months after their breakup, Rutherford has released a song with kind of creepy lyrics that fans are calling out as paedophilia.

What Did Jesse Rutherford Say In His Song?
Rutherford, who Billie described as ‘the hottest f**king f**ker alive’, has released a song called ‘POV‘, in which he seems to be recounting his relationship with Billie.
Part of the song goes: “Feel like Alejandro when she Gaga on my goo, I’m at the top, you’re at the bottom, It’s a different POV,”
“She been listening to me since 2013, I know she’s got daddy issues, welcome to the family. She said: ‘Jesse, baby, won’t you write a song about me?” was one of the parts that fans found disturbing as Billie was only 12 years old in 2013.
The gaga on my goo also caught the attention and fans called the line cringe and that it gave them the ick.
