Madonna Gets Sued For False Advertising
Currently, Madonna is touring with her ‘Celebration Tour’. However, the pop icon has gotten embroiled in legal difficulties after two fans decided to sue her over starting her concert late. The fans filed a lawsuit on January 17, 2024, in New York for starting her concerts in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center in December 2023 two hours late.
As per the lawsuit, the fans sued her over a false advertisement, as the concert was to be started at 8:30 p.m., but it was started at 10:30 p.m., causing a lot of inconvenience for the concertgoers. The complaint said that the attendees were “confronted with limited public transportation, limited ride-sharing, and/or increased public and private transportation costs at that late hour.”
In the lawsuit, Madonna, along with Live Nation M Tours and Brooklyn Events Center, LLC, are the defendants. The plaintiffs are asking for undefined damages from the defendants. The plaintiffs say that they would not have purchased the ticket if they had known that the concert would begin at 10:30 p.m.

Madonna Said She Is Not Taking The Near-Death Incident For Granted
Before Madonna started her ‘Celebration Tour’, she had to be hospitalized due to a bacterial infection that caused her to pass out. Her manager, Guy Oseary, confirmed that she was hospitalized in the ICU for the infection.
During one of the New York concerts, Madonna told her fans that she was in a coma for 48 hours. She thanked her friend Siobhan, who, as per the singer, saved her life.
Madonna said, “I do not take anything that happened for granted. There are some very important people here who were with me in the hospital.”
Crediting Siobhan, she said, “There’s one very important woman who dragged me to the hospital. … I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU.”
Madonna joked that she had to almost die to bring all of her six children under the same roof. The ‘Material Girl’ singer’s first thought was about her mother as she died of cancer, and she was all by herself when she died. The singer continued, “I was thinking, what if I left my children?”
She added, “That would destroy me if I left my children at this moment in their lives…” Talking about her mother, Madonna said, “How scared she must have been to know that she was going to leave us all behind.”
