While many patiently waited for Sabrina Carpenter to hard launch her relationship with Barry Keoghan, she did so in the most unexpected way possible – featuring him in a music video for a song that many said was probably for Keoghan.
The song, which talks about an actor’s boyfriend who’s kind of problematic has Sabrina pleading him to not embarrass her by breaking her heart. What does Keoghan think of the lyrics? Well according to Carpenter, he loves it.
“He loved the song. He’s obsessed with the lyrics, and I’m so grateful for that,” she told Billboard. “I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he’s one of the best actors of this generation. So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special.”
She also told Vogue in June, “I liked the idea of falling in love with a convict and being shocked and embarrassed every time he commits crimes. I was sooo lucky to get Barry Keoghan in the video cause he is just magic on screen.”

Sabrina Carpenter And Barry Keoghan’s Relationship Timeline
The couple’s first-ever official spotting was when they both were at W Magazine after party for the Grammys and the publication posted an image of them together.
The same month they were spotted on a PDA-packed weekend, officiating their relationship as eagle-eyed fans watched out for more.
In March Barry was seen supporting Sabrina while she performed at the Eras Tour, followed by both of them being seen together at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. Following that they got more and more comfortable in the spotlight as they continued to make public appearances and sometimes subtle hints at their relationship.
