There is heartbreak and healing in this hotel! Shawn Mendes, who has always been a crooner swooning the audience to be always drunk in love became lovelorn. One of the most adorable musical pairings was that of Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes. The two have been supportive of each other throughout their careers. The sizzling chemistry was first seen in the 2019 hit ‘Señorita’. However, the love did not last long!
The two parted ways in 2021 after a year when Mendes dropped an entire album dedicated to his muse and love. ‘Wonder’ despite its flaws was a very beautiful love letter or diary to Camilla. The love was overflowing from the heart bucket and the wordsmith inked it most beautifully. However, the breakup did not turn out well for Shawn and he started feeling low. He even halted his ‘Wonder’ tour in the middle of it in July 2022. He cited mental breakdown as the reason, but now he is ready to elaborate on what happened.

In 2020, Shawn Mendes released the most love-struck album of 2020 ‘Wonder’. He dedicated the album to his ex-girlfriend Camilla Cabello. The couple called it quits in 2021. The two posted a joint statement saying that they are ending their romantic relationship.
They wrote, “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends”. The sources said that the reason for their breakup was their demanding work schedules.
In 2022, Camilla released the single ‘Bam Bam’, where she addressed the breakup with the ‘Dream’ crooner. After Camilla, Shawn also released a heartbreak single titled ‘When You’re Gone’. However, in the following months, Mendes was not able to keep up well with his mental health.
In April 2022, he shared a letter with his fans opening up about his vulnerabilities about sharing the truth. In July 2022, things were getting serious, so he halted his world tour. Now, while talking to The Wall Street Journal, he opened up more about canceling the tour.
He said, “It’s been a lot of work, but I think the last year and a half has been the most eye-opening and growing and beautiful and just healing process of my life. I’m also really grateful for all the people that were so accepting and loving and kind and understanding”.
He continued, “And it just really made me see how culture is really starting to get to a place where mental health is really becoming a priority”.

The Artist Admits That The Process Was Difficult
Shawn Mendes has now opted for a buzz cut! This has enhanced the hotness factor more than ever. During the interview, he explained why he went for that haircut. He said, “I think everyone should know what they look like with a shaved head. I also was just feeling this urge to just shake myself up a little bit”.
However, the major part of this shake-up was his deteriorating mental health and the difficult process to heal himself.
In the interview, Mendes said, “The process was very difficult. A lot of doing therapy, a lot of trying to understand how I was feeling and what was making me feel that way. And then doing the work to help myself and heal. And also leaning on people in my life to help a little bit”.
