Taylor Swift Announces New Variant For ‘The Tortured Poets Department’
During her tour in Melbourne, Taylor Swift unveiled a brand new cover for her new album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ along with a bonus track called ‘The Bolter.’
This one has a tagline that says “You don’t get to tell me about sad” with Swift posing in melancholic positions.
Talking about the album, Swift said that this album reminds her “why songwriting is something that actually gets me through my life.” She then added, “I’ve never had an album where I needed songwriting more than I needed it on Tortured Poets.”
Fans, however, started drawing parallels between the new bonus track and how it might be a reference to her rocky relationship with Joe Alwyn. Here’s why fans think ‘The Bolter‘ might be another dig at Swift’s ex.

Is ‘The Bolter’ About Joe Alwyn?
You might think the Joe Alwyn slam train might be over, but Swift has made sure there’s more.
After the Grammy winner announced the new bonus track to her eleventh album, Swifties already started speculating that the track might be another reference to Alwyn and how she felt being in a relationship with him.
During the 2022 VMAs, Alwyn and Swift were seen bolting to a car to avoid being photographed and the video soon went viral, drawing conclusions regarding instances in their relationship where Joe demanded too much of an isolated and private life.

Eagle-eyed Swifties have also found out that ‘The Bolter‘ seems to be a bar in London where Swift and Alwyn apparently went to as their first outing.
