“There’s Problems On Both Sides”: Chappell Roan Explains Why She Isn’t Endorsing Anyone These Elections

As the 2024 elections get nearer, a number of celebrities have spoken up about their political stance, urging fans to vote. While Kamala Harris has gotten maximum support from Hollywood stars, the same can’t be said for Trump.

As more and more celebrities rise in support of Harris, Chappell Roan is speaking out about why she has chosen not to endorse anyone in this election. Here’s why.

Chappell Roan recently spoke to The Guardian about how she doesn’t feel pressured to endorse any particular political party, also adding that she has “problems” with the government.

The Casual‘ singer said, “I have so many issues with our government in every way. There are so many things that I would want to change. So I don’t feel pressured to endorse someone. There’s problems on both sides. I encourage people to use your critical thinking skills, use your vote — vote small, vote for what’s going on in your city.”

She also added how important trans rights were to her, saying, “They cannot have cis people making decisions for trans people, period.”

Kamala Harris has garnered heavy support from Hollywood, including from big artists like Taylor Swift, and Billie Eilish and Finneas. Billie had announced earlier this month that she would be endorsing Kamala Harris in these elections, “because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy

“We can’t let extremists control our lives, our freedoms and our future,” Finneas said. “The only way to stop them and the dangerous Project 2025 agenda is to vote and elect Kamala Harris.”

Kamala is getting support from the majority of pop girls too, thanks to Taylor Swift, and has even gone as far as to use their musical references in her campaigns to ensure maximum engagement.

The 2024 Presidential elections will be held in November.
