Taylor Swift has come a long way in her musical journey! From an accomplished country singer to becoming a pop icon, she has faced a lot of hurdles but Swifties got her through it. She debuted in 2006 with her self-titled album. But after two lulls, she came with a bang in 2010 with her new album ‘Speak Now.’
‘Speak Now,’ the third studio album by Taylor Swift, became the first commercially successful album for the singer. It had hits like ‘Mean,’ ‘Story of Us,’ and ‘Back to December.’ But one of the most loved songs from the album was ‘Enchanted.’ Like every song, this as well had a meaning and an incident attached to it. It tells the tale of infatuation after the first meeting.

Taylor Swift Wrote ‘Enchanted’ For The Owl City Crooner Adam Young
During an interview with Yahoo! Music, Taylor Swift explained what each song signifies. She said, “Every single song is like a road map to what that relationship stood for, with little markers that maybe everyone won’t know, but there are things that were little nuances of the relationship, little hints. And every single song is like that. Everyone will know, so I don’t really have to send out e-mails on this one.”
Instead of sending an email, Taylor Swift received an email from someone special when he heard ‘Enchanted.’ The ‘folklore’ artiste, while explaining the meaning behind the song, said, “Enchanted is a song that I wrote about a guy I was enchanted to meet. He was a guy that I had talked to a couple times on email but I hadn’t met him.”
She continued, “I went to meet him and I met him in New York. I remember the whole way home thinking ‘I hope he’s not in love with somebody’. It was wonderful – it’s like that feeling of ‘oh my god! Who is he with? Does he like me? Does he like someone else? Like what does it mean!’ “
Taylor wrote the song for the Owl City crooner, Adam Young. He had also been part of bands like Swimming with Dolphins and Windsor Airlift. He also sent an email to the songstress about how “wonder-struck” he was meeting her.
