Wiz Khalifa Arrested For Marijuana Consumption
After appearing on Saturday night at the Beach Please! Festival in Romania where marijuana is prohibited, Wiz Khalifa, a longtime and ardent consumer of cannabis, was caught and faced legal charges. A group of police accompanied Khalifa as he said, “Don’t surround me,” in a video that fans have shared of him lighting up a large joint on stage.

A press release from the Romanian anti-terrorism and organized crime agency DIICOT stated, “During a recital held during a music festival held in the Costinești resort, Constanța county, [Wiz Khalifa] possessed over 18 grams of cannabis (risk drug) and consumed (onstage) another amount of cannabis under the shape of a craft cigarette. We make it clear that, during the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence.”

Wiz Khalifa Issues Apology After Arrest
Following the incident, the rapper was ultimately let go and he took to social media to apologize for his actions while promising that he would be back very soon.
In a tweet, he wrote, “Last night’s show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time”
