In Hell, we were left with Lucifer and Lord Azazel. Lucifer is determined to do something that “will bring Morpheus to its knees” and the last episode of Season 1 of ‘The Sandman‘ comes to an end. When it was released on Netflix, this DC Comics-inspired series was well-received. However, it was uncertain whether Season 2 of the series will arrive or not. But, the fans are overjoyed as ‘The Sandman’ is getting renewed.
The first season which was released in August 2022 received an overwhelming response. In its first week, the series was watched for 69.5 million hours, a parameter that determines whether the series will get renewed for a new season. Though the creator of the series Gaiman said it cannot be renewed for how expensive it is, the second season of the series will see the light of day.

“I Will Be Bringing Even More Of The Sandman Stories To Life”: Neil Gaiman
Brace yourself as the ‘Lord of the Dream’ realm is coming back! ‘The Sandman’ is inspired by the DC seminal Comics created by Neil Gaiman. Season one took us on a journey through 1916 England, where Morpheus, the head of the Dreaming realm, gets captured by Roderick Burgles in a ritual. The story follows how Dream escapes bringing peace to the realm. The end of the 10-episode series left the audience on the tenterhooks wanting more of it.
Several reports were floating about Netflix not renewing the series. However, on Wednesday, the writer and creator Neil Gaiman squashed all the rumors confirming the arrival of the new season of ‘The Sandman’. Neil wrote in a tweet,
The rumours are true. Netflix is thrilled that so many of you have been watching Sandman, and the thing we were all hoping would happen… has indeed happened… pic.twitter.com/zc5CrhsdZK

“Beyond Overjoyed”: Twitterati Is All For The New Season Of The Series
In an interview, Neil Gaiman was skeptical about whether Netflix will release a new season. He said, “Because Sandman is a really expensive show. And for Netflix to release the money to let us make another season we have to perform incredibly well. So yes, we’ve been the top show in the world for the last two weeks. That still may not be enough.”
However, now, the confirmed news led the fans to go into a frenzy!
