The webtoon-based drama ‘Sweet Home’ has become a sizzling sensation for many fans as it makes its way to season 3 on Netflix. Being one of the most well-liked K-dramas on Netflix with Song Kang, the show debuted in 2020 and was the first Korean show to rank in the top 10 globally on the streaming service. Several original K-dramas, including blockbusters like ‘Squid Game’ and ‘All of Us Are Dead’, have since been published by Netflix.
It took three years for ‘Sweet Home’ season 2 to premiere, despite the first season’s enormous success. Luckily, there was not nearly as long of a wait for season 3 as it just got released on Netflix. This has fans wondering if there will be a season 4.

Will There Be ‘Sweet Home’ Season 4?
With season 3 out of Netflix, fans are wondering if they should wait for more or if the franchise ends with the newly released episodes. Unfortunately, Netflix has made it clear that this season will be the last for ‘Sweet Home’. But on the brighter side, they’re not leaving things undone.
Since the release of the first poster for Sweet Home’s third chapter, the intentions of Netflix were direct as it referred to it as the “final season.”
Sweet Home director Lee Eung-bok, who had been behind the show since season 1, had also described season 3 as the “grand finale.”
This is why ‘Sweet Home’ season 3 has a finishing feel to it as it aims to wrap up all the storylines. While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to names like Song Kang’s Hyun-su, Lee Do-hyun’s Eun-hyeok, and Go Min-si’s Eun-yu, season 3 was the right time to end.

Did ‘Sweet Home’ Play Out Exactly As Per The Webtoon?
Known to have derived its initial idea from a webtoon, fans were rightfully surprised as the show was announced for two more seasons after its “prescribed” ending.
Season 1 of the series was known to match the webtoon down to many details till its ending. So, it was flummoxing for the series to have been renewed for two more seasons as the original webtoon story ended with season 1.
At the conclusion of the Sweet Home webtoon, Hyun-soo gives himself up to stop Joong-seop by transforming into a massive monster as the Green Home is demolished- which is exactly how the first season concludes.
Sweet Home season 2’s new characters were the original works of the writers and weren’t suggested by the webtoon, but they still showed themselves to be important additions to the show as seen in season 3. So it is quite clear that though the fans might have been mildly surprised, the show’s fate was planned judiciously in advance to pan out gradually and end at the right moment.
