    ‘Sex Education’ Season 4: Cast, Plot, Trailer And Release Date

    Sex Education‘ Season 3 definitely left off with many big questions and cliffhangers such as Maeve leaving for America. Season 4 will try to tie up those loose ends, and we hope to finally get some lead on Otis’ love life. There is good news for the fans. It’s confirmed that season 4 is going to premiere soon.

    Also, season 4 is going to mark the end of the show.

    ‘Sex Education’ Cast: Which Actors Will Return?

    While most of the main cast is anticipated to return, we would have to wave goodbyes to some supporting characters with a heavy heart. Simone Ashley who plays Olivia will not be returning in season 4. It’s because of her publicity hype for her role in the regency period drama ‘Bridgerton‘. In an interview with This Morning, Simone said, “I get asked all the time. No, I mean I am now a Bridgerton girl.”

    Patricia Allison, who plays Ola, won’t be charming us with her wits this season either. In an interview with CapitalXtra, she said, “I have enjoyed every single minute of being on ‘Sex Education’ and playing Ola but I am sorry to say that I won’t be joining the team for season 4.”

    Tanya Reynolds, who plays Lily Lglehart, also confirmed her goodbye. She said,” I think that for Lily, her storyline was just wrapped up quite nicely at the end of season three. So she’s got no loose ends to tie up, she had quite a happy ending. It felt like it was my time.”

    ‘Sex Education’ Season 4 Plot: What To Expect

    Moordale’s finest and brightest are all left if in a state of figuring things out meanwhile completing their last term at school. Who knows if they will receive their degrees now that the school is being sold? With Adam getting comfortable with his sexuality and healing the traumas of his closeted life and Otis promising Maeve that he will wait for her to come back, there are major possibilities of plot twists in the story.

    The synopsis reads, “Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis (Butterfield) and Eric (Gatwa) now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level.”

    When Will The Show Return?

    Netflix did make the fans wait for nearly two years for the premiere of season 3 but it was mainly due to the production delays brought on by the coronavirus pandemic. As it is over now, the fourth season is likely to premiere much sooner. Well, we can expect the season to blow our minds on September 21, 2023.

    About wrapping up ‘Sex Education’ with season 4, series creator, lead writer and executive producer Laurie Nunn stated, “We are incredibly proud of ‘Sex Education’ and feel indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who put so much heart into making every episode.
