Netflix’s ‘Ripley’ has impressed the audience it was intended for. The series was adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s Novel titled ‘The Talented Mr Ripley’. The series was released on the platform on 4th April and had a total of 8 episodes.
However, the end of the series was not a straight-up conclusion to the story. The climax of the show insinuated that there was more to come to the series than just the 8 episode adaptation. So, when it comes to the series going forward with a season 2 it is very much possible.
This is because alongside the climax, the author of the ‘Ripley’ series Patricia has written 5 novels following the character Tom Ripley. In the Netflix adaptation, Ripley was portrayed by the actor Andrew Scott.
Despite nothing being officially confirmed regarding the series going forward with a season 2, if the reception for the first season is there there’s a high chance that it will happen. However, the series was also labeled as a miniseries so nothing can be said. As of now, the series has 7.9/10 on IMDB and 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.
