The Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge of 2015 was a head-scratcher for many. The rising star popularized a bizarre trend. Kylie Jenner and her iconic pout that many envied inspired a trend that left some looking more like pufferfish than glamorous celebrities. The challenge involved sucking on lips to achieve a fuller look, often using a glass or other object.

While some results were temporary and comical, others left participants with bruised and swollen lips. Additionally, this craze wasn’t just about looking like Kylie; it highlighted the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards. Suddenly, natural lips weren’t good enough, and people were willing to risk discomfort and even pain to achieve a resemblance to a celebrity. The challenge, thankfully, was short-lived.

It wasn’t about makeup or dance moves, it was about playing with fire, literally. In a dangerous trend that thankfully fizzled out quickly, people set themselves partially ablaze, often filming it for online clout. The idea?  Light yourself on fire, then extinguish it quickly.

Easy, right? Wrong. Common sense went up in smoke with this challenge. Additionally, while seemingly harmless on the surface, miscalculations could lead to serious burns or even death. The challenge highlighted the lack of common sense and the potential for copycat behavior on social media.

The planking challenge of the late 2000s was a strange mix of humor and hidden danger.  It wasn’t about athleticism or skill; it was about turning yourself into a human plank in unexpected places. Some found amusement in seeing people splay out like furniture on park benches or office desks. However, the potential for falls from precarious positions became a real concern.

Additionally, public safety officials weren’t laughing.  The risk of a head injury or worse loomed large, prompting warnings and even bans in some places. Planking eventually faded, a reminder that the quest for online fame shouldn’t come at the expense of a good trip to the emergency room. It was a time when the line between funny and foolish became a little too blurry.

Fainting can lead to serious injuries, especially if you fall and hit your head. The potential for brain damage or even death was a chilling reality. People online were playing with potentially life-altering consequences just for online clout.

In a bizarre attempt to mimic a sleek hairstyle, some social media users reached for a product entirely unfit for the purpose – Gorilla Glue, a powerful industrial adhesive.

The result? Hair completely cemented to scalps, leaving people in a desperate scramble for removal. One young woman’s attempt to achieve a sleek hairstyle backfired, leaving her hair completely glued to her scalp. The aftermath was a rock-solid scalp with a blend of discomfort, and frustration.

The rooftopping challenge isn’t a game for the faint of heart. It’s a heart-stopping and dangerous pursuit of adrenaline all for a viral video. The challenge involved people freezing in place, mimicking mannequins, while the camera panned around them.
