There were reports that the two are not getting along well. Now, Nicola has revealed what she claims is the reason behind not wearing one of her mother-in-law’s designs for her wedding to her son Brooklyn Beckham. Nicola’s explanation might seem true to some while others might think it is just a damage control move.

Nicola Peltz Talks About Not Wearing Victoria’s Wedding Dress
The rift between Nicola Peltz and her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham has now taken a new turn. According to a Variety report, Nicola explained why she did not wear a Victoria-designed dress at her wedding.
She said, “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress.”
The 27-year-old actress continued, “She didn’t say ‘you can’t wear it;’ I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
At her wedding in April, Nicola ended up walking down the aisle in a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown with a sleeveless, square-neck silhouette and a long train. It was paired with opera-length gloves and a veil. In 2020, it was reported that Victoria will be designing her daughter-in-law’s wedding dress.
Well, we can hope that Nicola’s comments puts an end to all the speculation about their feud with each other.
Victoria Beckham And Nicola Are Having A Cold War
Nicola married Victoria and David Beckham’s son Brooklyn (23) back in April this year. Since then, cracks have started to appear in Victoria and her daughter-in-law’s relationship.
It was earlier reported that “they can’t stand each other and don’t talk.” Further adding, “the build-up to the wedding was horrendous.”
The source adds she didn’t want Victoria “to be any part of the planning, and she wouldn’t clue Victoria in on anything. Communication was minimal.”
The rift between the two has become “non-stop petty drama” and it’s spilling over the Beckham family. “They haven’t spoken to him much in the last few months,” the source says. Brooklyn had earlier posted a cover of British magazine Tatler that called Peltz “The New Mrs. Beckham.”
