“Bond, James Bond,” a self-introductory dialogue that the world will never forget. Every actor who has worked in the ‘James Bond‘ franchise is etched into the memory of Bond fans. Daniel Craig is no less. From his sturdy walk, sharp looks, and calculated moves he has made all the Bond movies that he acted in memorable.
But the character he enacted has given him some surprises. Apart from the stunt risks, he had the opportunity to act alongside the late Queen Elizabeth for the 2012 London Olympics in a funny sketch. And now the actor is receiving a rare honor that should be familiar to Craig as his superspy character was also honored the same.

Daniel Craig Honored Similar To James Bond
On Tuesday, Daniel Craig was granted a rare honor which is the same as the one that was bestowed on his character, the British superspy James Bond. Though it’s not sure when and why James Bond had been appointed the honor. But there were mentions of the honor in the movie ‘Skyfall’ in 2012 and in the original Ian Fleming novels-From Russia, With Love, and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
The Royal family had announced on October 18, that Craig was appointed the Order of St.Michaels and St.George at Windsor Castle. The artist has been bestowed the honor for his “outstanding contribution to film and theatre”. The actor accepted his honors from Princess Anne, the second-oldest of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The order is one of Britain’s “orders of chivalry” which was established in 1919 by then Prince George. It was originally meant for people holding high positions or important command in the British military.

Craig named Honorary Commander
Last year the actor became the honorary commander of the U.K.’s Royal Navy just like Bond did. According to the Entertainment Weekly Report, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin said, “Our honorary officers act as ambassadors and advocates for the Service, sharing their time and expertise to spread the message about what our global, modern, and ready Royal Navy is doing around the world.” Both these honors came to the James Bond actor after he left the James Bond franchise behind. He took up the role for the first time in 2006. He played Bond in ‘Casino Royale‘, ‘Quantum of Solace‘, ‘Skyfall‘, ‘Spectre‘ and ‘No Time to Die‘.
