Gal Gadot, renowned for her portrayal of Wonder Woman in the DCU, revealed a harrowing chapter in her life that tested her strength and resilience in ways far beyond any fictional battlefield.

Gal Gadot Is Now Healthy And Fully Recovered
In a heartfelt Instagram and X post on December 29, the 39-year-old actress shared that she suffered a “massive blood clot” in her brain during her eighth month of pregnancy with her fourth child, Ori. “For weeks, I endured excruciating headaches that confined me to bed,” Gadot wrote.
“An MRI finally revealed the terrifying truth.” After her diagnosis, Gadot was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery. Additionally, amid this life-threatening procedure, her daughter Ori was also delivered. “In one moment, my family and I were faced with how fragile life can be,” she shared. “All I wanted was to hold on and live.”
Gadot’s daughter’s name, Ori, meaning “my light” in Hebrew, was a deliberate choice. “Before the surgery, I told [my husband] Jaron that when our daughter arrived, she would be the light waiting for me at the end of this tunnel,” Gadot revealed. Now, nine months later, Gadot is fully healed.
The actress used her experience to advocate for greater awareness of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT). Moreover, despite being a rare condition, it affects approximately 3 in 100,000 pregnant women over 30. “Pain, discomfort, or even subtle changes often carry a deeper meaning, and being attuned to your body can be life-saving,” she urged her followers.
While Gadot acknowledged that her story might evoke fear, her intention was clear: to empower others. “If even one person feels compelled to take action for their health because of this story, it will have been worth sharing,” she wrote. The actress also emphasized the critical role of early diagnosis in treating CVT, noting that while rare, the condition is highly treatable when identified promptly.
