The Tesla owner gets dangerous when his beast mode is on. The bestselling author Walter Isaacson observed Elon Musk’s everyday life for about two years for the release of Musk’s biography which will be hitting the market in September. Isaacson has not only observed Musk’s life but has also written biographies for many famous personalities including Leanardo DiCaprio and Steve Jobs.
The author compared Elon Musk with Apple co-founder Steve Jobs saying, “80 percent of the time was good but 20 percent of the time it just made people afraid to give him bad news”. Isaacson strives to exhibit the complexity of Elon Musk’s life by maintaining the balance between the “dark streak” that he has and his incredible accomplishments at SpaceX and Tesla.

Elon Musk’s Dark Side Is Unsettling And Unpleasant
During the recent Twitter Spaces interview, Water Isaacson said “Musk has a great engineering mind but the difficulty, everyone who has dealt with him knows and he enough self-aware to know, is that he has a dark streak to him”. He describes his “Demon Mode” as a dark state and real lack of empathy but also extremely productive. The author also revealed the reason behind his dark side is his difficult childhood. Isaacson revealed, “He has a dark streak coming out of a very brutal and violent childhood during which he saw strong psychological difficulties with his father. This streak is sometimes called ‘demon mode’ by his friend Claire Boucher.”
The author also revealed how many times he has witnessed the Tesla owner going dark only because others did not have that “maniacal sense of urgency” even when it is not worth it. He recalled an incident when he saw Elon Musk turn dark while in a meeting with some “poor finance guy” saying, “I know that he was going to rip that person apart.”

Elon Musk’s Work Ethics
According to Insider, Water Isaacson’s biography dives into how the billionaire’s complex personality balances his dark phase along with his work at SpaceX and Tesla. However, Elon Musk’s intense work ethic is no secret. Tim Higgins from The Wall Street Journal exposed Musk’s habit to rain hellfire on anyone in ‘Elon Musk, the Bet of the Century and Power Play: Tesla’.
Elon Musk appreciates a tough dedicated work ethic. He has publicly encourages his staff to prove their dedication to their job by working a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office to burn the 3 a.m oil and sleeping the office.
