The death of Queen Elizabeth II last week has sent shockwaves across the globe. Queen’s demise at the age of 96 created a void in the British Monarchy. Her son, Charles has now acceded to the throne. Nearly the entire royal family was beside the queen including Prince Harry when she died.
The Duke of Sussex traveled to Windsor Castle from Balmoral early Friday morning. This was where he greeted the media people and talked about how lonely the castle felt without the Queen. It’s pretty obvious that her demise has affected Harry just like several people across countries.

Prince Harry Says The Castle Feels Lonely Without The Queen
Prince Harry had arrived at Balmoral Castle right when Queen Elizabeth II’s health started deteriorating. He recently traveled to Windsor Castle on Friday to greet the people.
According to a report from The Sun, the Duke of Sussex told the crowd: “[It’s] a lonely place up there now without her.” Denoting how her death has left a void in the family.
Harry continued, “Whichever room she was in, you felt her presence throughout.” The British royal was joined by his wife, Meghan Markle, along with his brother, Prince William, and his wife, Kate Middleton.
All of them reunited outside Windsor Castle on Saturday amid reports of a rift between everyone since Harry and Markle stepped down from their royal duties in 2020 and left for the United States.
Meghan Markle Didn’t Go To Balmoral After Queen’s Death
Meghan Markle had not joined her husband as he went to the Balmoral Castle to see his grandmother right before she died. He had flown in from an Invictus Games event in Germany on Thursday.
But the two reunited on Friday morning at their Windsor home. The BBC Royal expert Nicholas Witchell speculated that Markle did not go with Harry because she feared his family wouldn’t like it.
“She might not be terribly warmly welcomed, to be perfectly candid about it,” he said. Tensions have been rising between Harry-Meghan and the royal family ever since they quit as the royal family members.
She, along with Harry, also talked about her experience in the royal family in an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.
