“It’s Time For A Good Old-Fashioned Laugh”: Jennifer Lawrence Signals The Return Of ‘Offensive’ Comedies With ‘No Hard Feelings’

The woke culture has made finding anything funny a crime. It explains why there hasn’t been a great Rated R comedy since the days of ‘Superbad’ and ‘Pineapple Express.’ Thanks to Jennifer Lawrence‘s ‘No Hard Feelings,’ raunchy comedies are making a much-needed comeback.

The Oscar-winning actress believes the key to making a good comedy is to create fish-out-of-water situations. Such characters going through unfamiliar and uncomfortable situations make an excellent staple for a laugh-out-loud comedy. That’s the experience the 32-year-old actress wants to provide with ‘No Hard Feelings.’

According to Jennifer Lawrence, it’s not really a comedy until a group of people squirm and hold back their disgust. While talking to Sky News about ‘No Hard Feelings,’ the 32-year-old actress seemed comfortable with the discussion of bringing back awkward, old-fashioned laughs in fashion.

Jennifer Lawrence’s co-star Andrew Barth Feldman echoed her sentiment about the need for such comedies. The ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ actress told the outlet, “I think it’s time for a good old-fashioned laugh, and it really is hard to make a comedy where you’re not offending people. Everybody in some sense will be offended by this film — you’re welcome.”

The parents ask Maddie to date their son Percy before he leaves for college in exchange for a car.

The Oscar-winning actress wasn’t looking forward to returning to work after giving birth. But ‘No Hard Feelings’ proved to be a good project for her return. However, she has made it clear that she no longer wants to take on the additional responsibilities of being a filmmaker.
