“Guardians Would Beat The S**t Out Of The Avengers Easily”: James Gunn Boasts About The Superior Team In A Cosmic Marvel Showdown

A legendary throwdown is brewing. James Gunn, the director who brought us the hilarious and heartwarming ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ threw down the gauntlet (or perhaps a blast from his space rifle) in a recent interview.

His claim? The Guardians of the Galaxy could easily overpower Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers. So, the question arises, who would truly emerge victorious in a cosmic showdown?

In a recent interview on the podcast Inside of You,’ James Gunn, the director behind the beloved Guardians of the Galaxy films, playfully tossed his hat into the superhero smackdown ring. When asked who would win in a fight, the Guardians of the Galaxy or the Avengers, Gunn expressed his confidence in his cosmic crew.

“Listen, I always thought that the Guardians would beat the s**t out of the Avengers easily,” Gunn said. “Like, it’s just they’re from outer space. They have technology that is pretty advanced, so it would be hard to beat them.” While Gunn’s statement was likely intended as a lighthearted jab, it has sparked a firestorm of debate amongst comic book fans.

The Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, boast a roster of powerhouses like Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk. On one hand, the Guardians: a ragtag team of spacefaring misfits with superior tech and a whole lot of sass. On the other, the Avengers: a powerhouse team with heavy hitters like Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk. Can the Guardians truly hold their own against such formidable foes?

Who Would Win The Fight?

The Guardians and The Avengers

Let’s break it down. The Guardians are an undeniably skilled group. We have Peter Quill (Star-Lord), a charismatic leader with tactical expertise and blasters aplenty. Gamora, the deadliest woman in the galaxy, is a force to be reckoned with in hand-to-hand combat. Additionally, Drax the Destroyer brings unparalleled strength and ferocity to the table.

Then there’s Rocket, the mechanically gifted raccoon with a genius intellect and a penchant for explosive weaponry. Groot, the walking tree, may seem cuddly on the outside. However, his immense strength and regenerative abilities make him a formidable opponent.

The Avengers, on the other hand, pack a different kind of punch. Iron Man’s suit of armor grants him unmatched aerial combat and firepower. Thor, the God of Thunder, possesses superhuman strength, durability, and the ability to manipulate lightning.

The Hulk is a raging green force of nature, nearly impervious to physical harm and capable of leveling buildings with a single punch. Additionally, these are just a few of the heavy hitters on the Avengers’ roster. It’s a close call. The Guardians’ advanced technology could give them an edge. However, the Avengers’ sheer power and experience shouldn’t be underestimated. Ultimately, the outcome would likely depend on the specific circumstances of the battle.
