Despite achieving a massive level of success and stardom, Jason Momoa is known to embrace his original Hawaiian roots. He recently did something to further that.
The ‘Game of Thrones‘ actor recently shared his new head tattoo on Instagram on Thursday. The uniquely stripped design resembles the tribal culture of Hawaii. It is placed on the left side of Jason’s head.
Sharing a series of pictures of getting the ink, the actor wrote: “Honored to be apart of this, powerful moment in my life. Shared this day with some of my Ohana, mahalo to unko buff and aunti momi my pops unko titus.”
He then thanked all the people who were part of his tattooing process. The tattoo is inked across the entire side of his head that goes down to his neck. He already has several tattoos on different parts of his body.
Momoa Gears Up For ‘Aquaman 2’
He is set to reprise his role as aquatic superhero Arthur Curry in DCEU’s upcoming film ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.’ It is scheduled to release on December 25, 2023.
“We killed it,” he said. “We made something amazing and it’ll come out when it’s meant to come out. The nice thing about what’s happened with COVID is that everyone is trying to rush to meet these deadlines but we know it should come out when it’s ready to come out [at a time] when everybody is getting back in the movie theaters.”
The actor also addressed the future of ‘Aquaman‘ amid Warner Bros. Discovery shelving ‘Batgirl‘, cutting budgets, and laying off employees.
“I just trust in them to make the right decisions, and I gotta stay in my lane,” he said. We can hope that the sequel does wonders for his career.
