Britney Spears has been trying to piece together her life after living under conservatorship for a decade. She is now happily married and has freedom that was denied to her for so long. But her personal life is in a tumultuous period as her rift with ex-husband Kevin Federline continues to make headlines. But she’s found a support system in Jennifer Lopez.
JLo has lent her support for the ‘Toxic‘ singer as the latter is going through a rough patch, personally. The two have been friends and it’s nice to see Jennifer supporting her friend in trying times. Despite the end of her conservatorship, Britney is still involved in the legal intricacies with her father Jamie Spears.
Britney Spears Gets Support From Jennifer Lopez
It’s lovely to see celebrities having each other’s back. A recent example of this is JLo coming out in support of Britney Spears amid her rift with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Jennifer Lopez took to her Instagram stories to share Britney’s now-deleted social media post about embracing her “freedom” and “independence”.
Jlo captioned it, “Stay” with a muscle emoji and a throwback picture of the two at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. In the now deleted post, the ‘Till The World Ends’ singer had quoted Jennifer from her latest documentary ‘Halftime’.
In the film, Jlo said: “You look right down that camera and tell every little girl in the world to get loud and never ever back down to giving light to injustice.” Britney wrote, “I’m here to share that freedom is a state of mind.”
Britney’s Rift With Kevin Continues To Grow
Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline has been in the news after he made some statements regarding their children. He said that their boys do not want to see Britney anymore.
Kevin also mentioned how the kids are unable to handle the nude and semi-nude pictures the pop star posts on her social media profile. Britney and Kevin were married from 2004 to 2007 and share two sons, Preston (16) and Jayden (15).
In response, the 40 year old singer said, “It saddens me to hear that my ex-husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children. As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone .. It concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram.”
Britney’s husband Sam Asghari also came out in her support and wrote: “There is no validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly.”
