It has been two months since the Depp-Heard Trial ended, with the court ruling out in Johnny’s favor. Kate Moss, the British model and Depp’s ex-girlfriend, recently opened up about why she testified in Depp’s favor.
Kate Moss entered the topic when Amber testified about a time she feared her ex-husband would push her sister down a staircase. Amber said she recalled “rumors” of Johnny pushing Kate down a flight of stairs. The rumor was what made Heard slap Depp to stop him from harming her sister.

Kate Moss’s Reason For Testifying In Depp’s Favour
Kate Moss and Johnny Depp, dated between 1994 and 1998. She rarely gives interviews or public appearances. However, during the trial, the model testified in favor of Depp and denied the rumors through a video link.
Moss spoke about her participation in the recent long-running BBC radio interview show, ”Desert Island Discs‘. When asked about why she decided to participate in the court, she answered it with reference to her friend fashion designer John Galliano, who was found guilty of antisemitic abuse in 2011.
Kate said, “I believe in the truth, and I believe in fairness and justice. I know that John Galliano is not a bad person – he had an alcohol problem and people turn. People aren’t themselves when they drink, and they say things that they would never say if they were sober.” She also added, “I know the truth about Johnny [Depp]. I know he never kicked me down the stairs. I had to say that truth.”

The 36-year-old actress testified in May and confirmed that her former boyfriend never pushed her, She testified, “We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did. There had been a rainstorm. As I left the room, I slid down the stairs and I hurt my back. I screamed because I didn’t know what happened to me and I was in pain.
She continued, “He came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention. He never pushed me, kicked me, or threw me down any stairs.” This incident is from the couple’s vacation in Jamaica.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard separated in 2017. The ‘Aquaman‘ actress wrote an op-ed where she mentioned that she’s a domestic abuse survivor. Heard didn’t mention Johnny. However, Johnny’s legal team claimed that the parallels between her allegations and Depp were pretty vivid.
