We’ve all had a bad day at work we’d like to forget. It can happen to any of us, even Liam Neeson. Ever since his film debut in ‘Pilgrim’s Progress,’ the Irish actor has grown in stature as an actor. He’s no stranger to being a part of blockbuster films. Thanks to ‘Taken,’ he’s found a second career as a badass, aging action star.
Liam Neeson is also one of the lucky actors to have worked with George Lucas on the ‘Star Wars’ franchise. It was supposed to be a significant moment in his career. But thanks to a brain fart, he made a fool out of himself while being directed by the creator of the franchise himself!
Liam Neeson’s ‘Star Wars’ Confession
Films like ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Star Wars’ used advanced technology unprecedentedly. While the actors did their job, they had no clue what the final product would be like. With that in mind, anyone could have made a mistake since it was new for the actors. While appearing on the podcast ‘Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend,’ Liam Neeson shared a story from filming ‘Star Wars’ that made him feel foolish.
Lian Neeson shared an anecdote with the host about how he and Ewan McGregor made lightsaber noises while filming without knowing that didn’t have to be done. Neeson recounted, “The first time we actually had to use the lightsaber to start a little fight… We both automatically [made the noises], “George said, ‘Let’s cut there. Boys, we can add that in later.‘”

Liam Neeson’s Opinion Of ‘Star Wars’ Spinoffs
Liam Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn in the ‘Star Wars’ prequel ‘Episode I – The Phantom Menace.’ But the Irish actor has no love for the spinoffs, thinking the franchise has gone off the track over the years. The 70-year-old actor appeared on ‘Watch What Happens Live!’ where he went into detail about how the franchise has lost its way.
When asked if he’s interested in returning for a spinoff, Liam Neeson flat-out rejected. He further said, “There’s so many spinoffs of ‘Star Wars.’ It’s diluting it to me, and it’s taken away the mystery and the magic in a weird way.” The ‘Schindler’s List’ actor will only reprise his role in case there is another film.
